Re: Re: La valse de Bayou Lafourche

Thanks for the quick response to my request. My wife and I will perform this song at the annual Thibodaux Choir Concert in June. It will the first time Cajun music will be performed for this event. I will play the song on my accordion and my wife will play the guitar. Our voice instructor will play the T-fer and her husband will play bass. I haven't settled on a fiddle player yet. I remember seeing Happy Fats on KLFY in Lafayette as a kid but I never paid attention to this song. This year the theme for the concert is to address the culture of the parish. Thanks again Jerry

Good luck with your recital Jerry! Are there many fiddle players around Thibodaux? The only one I can think of off hand is Roland Cheramie.

Re: Re: Re: Re: La valse de Bayou Lafourche

Roland is a friend of mine and I am hoping he will do it as I have asked him already, I am just not sure of his schedule. I would like for his cousin Wesley Gaspard to do it and have twin fiddles. That would be cool, or hot depending on your perspective. I will be in Larose tomorrow and play with his band. They are good to me and always let me play with them.
