Any upright piano players here? O.T.

I bought a 1905 Starr upright piano for 75 bucks last week. The tuner took one look and said it was a quality piano needing about a grand to make it right... :- 0 The case is super clean and it has been well kept, but a thousand bucks is a lot of $$$.

He felt bad for me, so he is giving me a 1900 Vose&Son upright that someone left at his shop eight years ago. The cabinet isn't as clean but it is still nice and sounds wonderful.

I don't even want to think about getting the upright collecting bug, but the good ones are really something! Soooooo... are there any piano players here, especially those who love old uprights?

Re: Any upright piano players here? O.T.

I had to leave my original old upright at my folks
when I moved out .. it was just to big to move again!

(It got "sold" along with the house :-)

Now, I have a Yamaha Synclavier upright(I think
that's how it's spelt!)

I love it, but I really haven't played it much now that
I've caught the dreaded accordion bug
