I could really use it. My parents just recentley faught, and the fight laster for about 2 hours. My dad shoved my mom onto the couch, because she wouldn't sit down (he didn't hurt her, and never intentionally would). She was acting very immature, and to be honest, so was I. Then my parents had the usual fight, all saying things that they say over and over every fight. There were some very hurtful words said, and plenty of cussing at each other.
I, during that time, prayed a lot, and read my Bible. I prayed that God would show me mercy, and rescue me, protecting me with his shield. He did, and reminded me of how he was always there for me, and loved me, and would never hurt me. I instanly felt a lot better, and htough this may sound cheesy, he rescued me completley. I no longer felt the pain of seeing all of the above taking place (the shoving, yelling, cussing, etc,), and it then seemed like I was watching and listening to it all happening from the outside. It was like it was happening to my friend, and not to me (you know what I mean, you are supportive, but you still don't have to feel what they are feeling). I am so thankful.
Anyways, now that I have explained the situation, I'm asking for you to pray for me and my family. That God gives us peace. Thanks!  |
