Well, about 2 weeks ago I have been doing my devotions every day, and staying strong. I spend about 45 minutes to an hour with God every day!
I don't really know...I just felt really connected to God, and prayed that he wpopuld motivate me to spend time with him every day, and he did! So here is my advice:
-Set a time of the day that works for you, maybe 10:00 am or whatever, everyday, so that when you see the clock and it's that time, you'll remember.
-Pray about it! Ask God to give you a longing and a hinger for his word.
-Make it fun! Find a Godly book that you really like and are into, something you know that each day you'll look forward to reading. (For me, it's my Bible and devotion book, and a book for teens with miraculous stories in them about people drawing closer to God, and it's really inspiring.)
But MOST OF ALL.....PRAY!!!! Ask others to pray for you to, and hold someone accountable for it (have your mom reming you, or a note remind you).
God wants to draw closer to you, and will never say no when it comes to this! Good luck!!! |
