Thanks Dan and Jen and all P6 teams and players.
Hi, haven't written much on hear in 3 years so I'll make up for it now I've left with a Waymanesque essay. I just want to say a huge, huge thank you for everything you guys have done over the last few years making Sunday afternoons a time to look forward too. I have some fantastic memories, especially for Stunts. Beating Red Sox in the Shield final after taking so many hammerings before (and after) was probably the highlight. I've never played competitive football so P6s was the first and only time I have played properish games since I was at school. We are reluctantly starting the Truro League this Sunday and, despite the obvious advantages of less travelling to get there, we are not expecting it to be anywhere near as good an overall experience as our time at P6 was. Unfortunately the amount of travel and hanging around the astro for hours was just too much in the end. Hopefully we'll come back one day. To finish, I am leaving my greatest A and B team of players who played regularly in the time I played at P6s- I'm sure you'll all disagree, especially Berry and Burton who'd put themselves in every position in every team, but its just my opinion so humour the bald man. A- GK - James Butler (Cunning Stunts) Def- Phil Lowry (Red Sox)(I know he's not a def but I saw him mark Wort out of games and it means more attacking players) Def- Grant Russell (Mean Machine) Mid- Mark Rose (Red Sox) Mid- Aaron Dilley (Red Sox) Str- Luke Wort (Stunts) B- Gk- Prentice (Oceans 11) Def- Fletch (Allsorts) Def- Jamie Molyneux (KIL/B D blazers) Another player to mark Wort well. Mid- Sparkes (Mitchell) Mid- TJ (Allsorts) Str- Meagor (Egloshayle) However, James Miller (Athletes Feet) was the best I ever played up there but he didn't play for long. Made me look a dick enough mind. I know Jake Ash also played but I only saw him once up there. Teams I used to like playing against most- Real Egloshayle (good games and good sports)and Cornwall Allsorts as I fancy Fletch. Anyway, cheers guys, see you round. |
