pharaoh ants

I have been told that pharaoh ants are difficult to control and eliminate once they are in your house. Is there a way to prevent them in the first place?

Re: pharaoh ants

Brooke,

Not that I know of, especially if you live in apartments or townhouse type of residence. There are several types of treatments available, my preference is baiting the inside and treating the exterior. You don't mention where you live, if you are in our service area I would be happy to do a free inspection and provide you with service information.

Good luck!

Re: pharaoh ants

Pharoah ants are small enough to find their way through most windows and weep holes, and once established are very difficult to eliminate.

The use of baits only is the standard method of treating these ants. A time consuming, labor intensive task.

There are new "non-detectible" residual products available to your pest professional. Phanton labeled for interior ant control and Termidor labels for ants on the exterior, ask your Pest Control Professional about them.
