Bolton game
Anyone who went to the game care to comment? There seems to be a mixed bag of comments. Pompey fans on the BBC MB are quite positive although Big Sam saw it differently.

I went to the Bolton game, and while we were much better, I fear it is too late to avoid the drop - BUT, D'Allesandro is right up there with Prosinecki and Merson as the best player ever to pull on a Pompey shirt - he was awesome! I hope it's not a flash in the pan, but he has such great skill, vision and intelligance. He is tricky without being greedy, and his swerving "edge of the box" free kicks must be horrible to defend. It really is worth the trip and entrance money JUST to watch him - make the most of him though, cos he wont be playing in the fizzy pop league next year. We did all agree in the pub afterwards though, just one problem with him - he is just TOO good for the rest of the team. |
