People usually charge per itinerary and that can vary – you can be charged up $60 from Copacabana return to Corcovado . Others charge per day and let you work out your own schedule. A better approach is perhaps to pay per hour, around $20, divided by the number of people, especially if you're a couple or small group. Again, all of that is negotiable.
I can personally recommend Rafa, he's a very decent guy and knows Rio inside out.
