Guinea Pigs and gerbils
I have a gerbil, and I want to get a guinea pig. I don't know if putting them in the same room would make them feel good. What should I do? |

That's a interesting question. I've never tried it. Yet there doesn't seam to be a issue. Depending on the room, I wouldn't recomend the cage next to each other. The smell of the markings and territory ect things may be the only issue, just as long as they get the same amount of treats, attenchion ect. But, I would introduce the two together, let one person hold the new arrival, the other tightly hold the gerbal, and be ready to remove them quickly, if they get along, you can put the two cages close, if not. I wouldn't recomend the same room. Hope that helps! |
