can guinea pigs go to the vet?
I'm thinking about getting a guinea pig and I have a lot of questions about them and i have tried to read up and some books and sites don't give me the answers i need. like can guinea pigs go to the vet? do they need a special vet? another thing i'm worried about is the urine smell. Is there anything i can do about it? I hope someone could answer my questions and get back to me. thank you so much Skyprincess52705 |

Yes. Ginuea Pigs can go to the vet, it isn't too costly, if you see the artical in the guide. It should cost about $20 for a check up. For a medical issue, it could be anywhere between that and $100 with the persciption. Piggies can go to the vet. I currently own a 9 month old short hair black and orange female Ginuea Pig named Pumpkin. She hasn't had any trouble. All ginuea pigs should already have a check up from the store, before you even come in the store. If there is something unusual with your ginuea pig, even a little runny poo. You should take him/her to the vet. Yes you can, but it isn't as vital like a dog or a cat. I had a Teady Bear Hamster named Sweet Pea whom lived to be 6 1/2 Years. Which is almost 3 Years past normal, I never gave her a bath, or took her to the vet. She died of old age. Hope it helps. -Thunder |
