Double Dog Dare to Dewey
ok, ok, your favorite teacher ever (Howard Genrich) has promised to come to our picnic on Sat 9/20. And he will bring his lovely wife. So, how about you - we will have 3 blank nametags waiting. |

To avoid getting my tongue stuck to a frozen flag pole, I offer guidance in this matter from a recently unearthed quatrain from Nostradamus: The weakest of the den shall be expelled by the new land, And destined to return after the year whose numbers are 6: Princes in Sweden will conspire to reject his claim for recognition, Leaving just those able to exit the circle to know the true name. |

Uh, I'm gonna go with "Rumpelstiltskin." (Hey, what d'ya suppose Nostradamus was smoking?)

Quatrains aside, it's nice to be invited to party especially with such a good group. The dedication of teachers like Mr. Genrich always impresses me. Little did I know that everything he was trying to drum into us knuckleheads was important. Every bit of it had use in later life too. The Jefferson science books may be obsolete now, but the scientific method and ways an enlightened society look at things and expand and vette knowledge still holds. For now, Ike is coming. I'm looking for a good tree to tie myself to on Saturday. |

Hi Jeri and All, Gee, thanks a bunch for forwarding the real nice compliments..Yes, we are planning on being at the Wilson Picnic on Sat. the 20th...I am also trying to squeeze in a cameo appearance at Joe Josts. Sometimes a week gets by before I check in to see if there is a place to sit down or what ever. Howard Genrich |

If the picnic is good enough for Mr. G......Dewey, you should at least be willing to extend yourself to join us at the picnic. Besides, we all get to see how each other has evolved gracefully to become the first retired (some of us) baby boomers. |
