CJ Club Meeting Minutes: February 5, 2008
Minutes: I. Budget/account balance. Current balance is $4203.34. II. 2008 National Conference is in Kansas City, MO April 6-11th 2008. Theme of conference is "Secrets of the Dead." Interested members include: Mark Niec, Liz Kaiser, Juliet Kunze, Gregg Velders, Karen Mills, and Tricia Danforth. III. Cabinet in theory 6 purchase approved by club, vote 9 yes, 0 no. Mike Schneider offered to clear a preexisting cabinet out in theory 6 for the club. IV. Golden House fundraiser. We will sell pizza and soda at the school Feb, 19-21st 2008 from 5pm-6pm. We need volunteers to help with this event. We may allow Student Council to work jointly with us on this, Krista will check into this. All proceeds go to Golden House. Club voted in favor 12 yes, 0 no. V. Possible idea of internet safety with kids from elementary and middle schools. VI. CJ Kids Day on May 17th 2008, open house for adults. CJ Club will be teaming up with recruiting for advertising. Lots of possible ideas including squad cars, fingerprinting, crime scenes, bomb squad, fire trucks, etc. We will need volunteers. Club voted 13 yes, 0 no in favor of Kids Day. VII. Lt. Col Dave Grossman speaking at NWTC on Monday, Feb 11th. President has registration forms, $50.00 per person, morning and afternoon sessions. VIII. NWTC Food Vulnerability Training-thanks to Amanda Kabe for forwarding info. IX. Adopt-A-Highwa clean up can begin in April. X. Jennifer Huguet upate-Gavin's progress updated at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gavingaller. Also, Jen is staying at Ronald McDonald house, any possible donations please make to Ronald McDonald house. XI. Children's Advocacy Center-club may become involved, possible fundraiser. XII. Rolling Thunder-big thank you to Mary Lou Harris for info. POW-MIA organization, looking for club to possibly become security for motorcycle run. Website is http://www.rollingthunderwi3.org. XIII.
