Doris, my 1986 2CV6 has developed a knocking noise from under the rear nearside passenger seat. Most pronounced when on a rough/ish road (most of them in the UK at present!) She had new shocks and a new exhaust a couple of years ago, has new sills. It is not the exhaust knocking against the bodywork.
I guess it's a suspension component, but I would appreciate any pointers as to what to look for.
