hi i have been offerd a citroen dolly that has had a lot of restoration work carried out. the previous owners have split up and the wife is selling the car. she is telling me that because the chassie has been replaced, the car can not keep its number plate and has to be inspected by the dvla and if they are happy it will be isued a Q plate. she has told me that it can not be used on the road untill this is done. i have seen lots of 2cv,s with new floors and have kept there plate. i thought that the floor and the chassie on a 2cv were the same thing. i would appreceate any advice before i get to involved in this car many thanks.
