I have a 1980 2CV6 club and have just replaced the clutch assembly. This was done by removal of the engine, but not the gearbox. Have just reassembled everything and started the car to find there is no oil pressure. Initially I thought I had not properly reconnected the oil pressure switch wiring but it is not that simple unfortunately. I then removed the oil filter to find it empty, and on turning over the engine with the oil filter removed no oil appears. The only work I did on the engine was to replace the oil and the oil filter. The car had been sitting for about 8 months following the clutch failure and prior to that the engine was running perfectly. Does anyone have any ideas on why the oil pump might have just failed like that? Note that the engine has run about 110,000 miles from new. Thanks for anyone's help or advice...
