Tuning for Kevin Wimmer's version of Bernadette?

I want to learn Kevin Wimmer's fiddle part on the Balfa Toujours version of Bernadette, from the La Pointe CD. The song is in F. I was assuming that he is playing in G position on a fiddle tuned down to FCGD, so it comes out in F. But after listening more I'm wondering if he's in some kind of old-time cross-tuning, like FCFC? Appreciate any help.

Thank you!

I would bet real dollars he plays it in G position on a tuned down fiddle.
