My father's family dog was a war dog during the 1940-50s (sketchy time frame). My dad, MSGT Don Darmer, Retired, was issued discharge papers for the dog when the dog was no longer needed. Would anyone have any helpful hints on how to get copies of the dog's discharge papers from DoD? Also, Dad thinks the Army buried the dog at March AFB. MAFB has a War Dog memorial but not a cemetery....would anyone know if the War Dog Cemetery is now located on the grounds of the Riverside National Cemetery?
