Silly song. He only recorded this on cassette with him on one side and his son, Leroy, on the other. He wore a big purple suit with matching fedora on the jacket. Lanor or Vidrine production, shid I can't remember. Even still, silly song. Go with Keiff Franks' version. You'll be better off.

Re: Zydeco Bull by Leo Thomas, anyone know where I can get a digital copy of this?

I listened to Frank's "The Bull", but it didn't sound the same. I never hear Thomas' original, just Andre Thierry playing it.

Thought it was a shuffle, but it's been a couple of years since I've heard it.

silly but it is a great song

it is silly
but it is a great song

not a shuffle but a one chord vamp with a very short riff

the words are the cool thing

pete moss is right about the orig version

keith frank and andre do it justice though

those versions are good enough really

the original is really badly recorded

oh the other hand, it does have leo's great but quirky drumming on it

Re: silly but it is a great song

Okay. But. It;s silly.

It;s like the Cajun Rap Song.
Cypress City could;ve stopped, but oh hell no.
They wen;t on and recorded Hot Boudin.
Another equally daft number.

Then... a reissue of the original album.
Maybe the mastering was tweaked?
I don;t know.

Then they record Shake That Fess.
Another truly bad idea.

They were a one hit wonder and should;ve kept their day jobs.

Then Jamie Bergeron decides to drink the Cajun Rap Song kool-aid.
I literally wept.

Tears were still wet on my cheeks when I heard him rap, "This is our life in the big swampland, we live in the south down in Louisianne, we like the way we live we don;t care if it;s wrong, we just wanna sing the Cajun rap song..."

There isn;t any singing so why do they lie so much in this song?
This isn;t Cajun.
