Re: 3 row diatonic $233!

i'd maybe get panther
they aren;t bad

looks like you could get one around $350
http://www.amazon.com/Hohner-Panther-GCF-Matte-Black/dp/B0002NRFIK

and it is shocking how bad the $250 random-brands are
they smell awful
buttons uneven
way out of tune
soft sound
short bellows
loose screws

try to put a mic in one and you discover there is no room when it is closed

i;d try to get an f-bflat-eflat
which is hard
most cheap 3 rows are g-c-f

Re: 3 row diatonic $233!

Smells awful is right. Not sure what they Chinese put in their plastics, but I'm sure they're meant to cause genetic mutations as soon as you pull them out the box. I had a Morelli triple row years ago. The bellows was TOXIC. I tried leaving the bellows in the oven on very low to try to off-gas it, to no avail. I've tried fleece ski clothes off the rack that are from china with this same god awful toxic gas emanating from it.

What the hell.

Re: 3 row diatonic

Really hoping to snag a cheap used one. I already have one that I gig with. I'm just looking for something to keep close by, and maybe tote with me, to work out tunes. Key is unimportant.

bicycles and cycling

one thing to remember
detail
the cheap accordions usually have the reed blocks only held in with wax, no nails
which means don;t ever leave them in a car
the heat will soften the wax and the reed blocks all fall out

anyway
it;s not a bad idea for a practice box

another alternative is a cheap one row
but they aren;t any better, cheaper or better sounding really
