Re: Anyone ever get a key change from Greg Mouton?
In my experience Greg is very slow on the work he does. I agree he is more into the music store side of it, but I hope you have a good quick experience with Mouton...Just curious...why didn't you go with Mark Savoy to get the key change?
Re: Anyone ever get a key change from Greg Mouton?
He is a busy guy, and I don't fault him for that. Anyway, it'll be worth the wait. I'm sad to part with dem Salpas, but I' already have a boat load of C accordions. Plus the higher key will make the relic play easier.
Brian, I believe Marc doesn't like doing that, because of an already overwhelming work load. Plus the man is in his 70's; I'm amazed he does all the work he does, plus other work he does.
Re: Anyone ever get a key change from Greg Mouton?
Going from C to (high?) F you will probably need to make about 20 reed chambers smaller by adding 14 mm wide and 2 to 5 mm filling blocks. Tina might advise you there and maybe do the job? - If you haven't bought reeds yet i have a barely used set high F for sale, with a bonus: they're already tuned. But i'll only sell at what i paid for them. Of course you'll need to check them after installing. - Nout
Re: Anyone ever get a key change from Greg Mouton?
Hey Nout, I know what's involved cos I had a Martin in C turned to E (the red one). It's already at Mouton's and his wife said he'd call once he starts
This guy doesn't value customers. All calls not returned, all questions unanswered. I've been more than patient with Greg, but he apparently doesn't know how to run a business. Mouton music is highly NOT recommended
