Wax melting temp.

From my experience most accoridon wax melts completely using a soldering iron set at at ~300 degrees. Any hotter will burn the wax.

It's hard to find soldering irons that will go that low, but they are available.

One exception is Larry miller. He uses wax that melts at a lower temp. (Unfortunately)

Re: Wax melting temp.

All done. Reconstructed the inside of the box. Figured out how you mounted the mic, I think. not sure if it's pointing in the right direction. Pointing towards the higher pitched end.

Re: Wax melting temp.

Yes, toward higher pitch with the sound shield closest to the reeds.

Re: Wax melting temp.

ok, got it all right except the sound shield.

Re: Wax melting temp.

helps avoid a "hot spot".
