I am planning another trip to SW Lousiana for vacation for either September or early October. On my prior trips I never took a 'Bayou tour', so I would like to do so during this upcoming trip. I would like to go on a Bayou tour so I can 'pet' the alligators....just kidding!!...Since this will be during Hurricane season, I am wondering if the gators will be around much?

September, yes. October, much less so.

But if I was visiting, I'd still come in October. Cooler weather. Festivals Acadiens. Plus, if you really want to pet an alligator, you can visit a gator farm.
