Need song title

Andre Thierry did a song yesterday and I'm looking for the song title. Lyrics go something like this:

I've never........
had a sweet little girl like you.
I've never........
had a sweet little girl like you.
When you walk that walk,
When you talk that talk,
You make me smile,
You drive me wild.

Re: Need song title

sounds like a take on something from John Lee Hooker, his 'Boom Boom'..maybe a cajun version?

I ain't never

I've heard a lot of people call it "I ain't never"

Re: I ain't never

Thanks Dana. Just what I needed.

Re: I ain't never

that;s not really it though

i;d say andre was just making up some simple lust-based words on the spot
more influenced by john lee hooker than anything else
john lee would make up stuff all the time too

i;d have to hear the music too, to guess what he may have been thinking of, song wise

that;s not really enough words to find out

you could just ask andre, you guys both live in the same place [more or less] :)

[[this is the famous ''i ain;t never'', covered by john fogerty as well as jerry garcia, hm, andre, jerry, john lee, fogerty, and dwight all live in the bay area, or did..]]

Well I ain't never I ain't never
Seen nobody like you no no no never have I ever seen nobody like you
You call me up and say to meet me at nine
I have to hurry hurry but I'm there on time
I walk right up and knock on your door the landlord says she ain't a here no more
I ain't never oh darling seen nobody like you
Hoo hoo but I love you yeah I love you I love you just the same
[ guitar ]
Well you tell me sweet things that you don't mean
You've got me a livin' in a haunted dream
You make me do things I don't wanna do
My friends say oh Webb what's wrong with you
I ain't never oh darling seen nobody like you
Hoo hoo but I love you yeah I love you I love you just the same
I love you just the same I love you just the same

Re:Wrong song.

Larry,
I think you are thinking of a different song by the same name.

The name is the same, but the melody and lyrics of the Web Pierce song are both different than the one Dwight is thinking about.

Re: Re:Wrong song.

it kinda sounds like andre may have written it

he seems to favor one verse repeated 3 times, no 'chorus', as a song structure :)

Re: I ain't never

BTW, locally, both the Zydeco flames and Gator Beat used to perform that song too.

Re: I ain't never

huh
would be interesting to track it down
internet doesn;t find anything with those lyrics

[[i didn;t ** really ** think andre was doing webb pierce, just saying 'here is the famous song with that name' ]]

Re: I ain't never

Larry, listen to the YouTube link that Dana posted.

i ain;t never heard nothing like that :)

oh
ok

yeah i ain;t never heard nothing like that :)
good though

just kind of a casual song

you could put any words to it

the basic riff is simple

voila

now you are a songwriter too

except you live too near him :)

and he does say the title before they start

Re: i ain;t never heard nothing like that :)

Except I didn't know about the video until after I asked the question and Dana posted it.
