Re: Accordion shop in Austin, TX?

Why not call Gabbanelli and ask them for suggestions. If you are talking about a shoulder strap then you will need two D-rings. This is what most players use. You can order them from any accordion dealer. Any accordion builder or dealer in your area should be able to mount D-rings or strap brackets for you. If you are fortunate enough to find an accordion shop in Austin then I'm sure they could mount them right on the spot while you wait. It should not be too expensive. I hope you are using Big NIck's instructional DVDs. They are very professionally produced and are of top quality at a very reasonable price. He is an excellent teacher and will teach you the right way to hold and play the accordion. Good luck and keep squeezin'.

Re: Accordion shop in Austin, TX?

If you play Cajun you don't want a shoulder strap. The best position is sitting down with instrument resting on your thigh.

Give the guy at link # 2 a shout and see if he is still in business,
