Lyric Request: 'Tit Mamou

I'm specifically looking for the lyrics to Wade Fruge and Marc Savoy's version on the album Old Style Cajun Music. I can figure out most of it but there are still parts I'm not quite sure about. Thanks!

Re: Lyric Request: 'Tit Mamou

By far my favorite version. Here's what I hear.

Eh ye yaille, jolie catin,
garde donc ça t'apres faire.
Toi, bebe, t'apres m'quitter,
pour t'en aller a Tit Mamou.

Tu m'as dit hier au soir,
tu pouvait, mais, p'us m'aimer.
Au jour dhui, toi bebe,
tu connais j'peut pas t'oir.

Toi bebe, si tu voudrais,
t'en r'venir avec ton neg',
tu connais j't'pardonnerais,
pour tout les choses
que tu m'as fait.

Thanks brutha!

Re: Lyric Request: 'Tit Mamou

I think that last line on the 2nd verse is probably "tu connais j'peut pas t'voir", What do you think?

Re: Lyric Request: 'Tit Mamou

Not "toi voir" , but he is probably saying "je peut pas te re'oir" "I can't see you again".

Yeah, I think I should have put "te voir" or "t'voir".

Do both these statements mean the same thing and make sense? "tu connais j'peux pas te voir" and "tu connais j'peux pas te revoir"? Or is one better/more correct than the other?

Re: Lyric Request: 'Tit Mamou

I'm sure no expert, but both make sense to me, "j'peut pas te 'oir" is "I can't see you" and "j'peut pas te re'oir" is " I can't see you again". At least to my partially educated mind.

Hein, pop, t'es la?
