Promoting Cajun Accordion builders using Facebook

Hey y'all!

Just wanted to throw this out to all of the Accordion builders on here. A great way to promote your accordion business would be to start a "page" for people to "like" on facebook. This is different from a personal profile page (where people have to add you as a friend) and a Group page. A "page" would be one where people can go and "like" to stay inform with what you're doing. I'd love to be a fan of people's accordion pages. Here is an example of such a page...which is the fan "page" for Saint Arnold Brewery in Houston (great beer by the way!) http://www.facebook.com/saintarnold?ref=ts&fref=ts

I have seen a couple of folks on MySpace...but the thing is....is that no one uses MySpace anymore. Facebook might be obsolete in 5 years, but in the mean time.....it might be worth it to start a page on Facebook.

Just a thought!

Anything that promotes Cajun accordion/music is a great idea in my book :-)

BN:

I agree!

I took some friends to Festivals Acadiens et Creoles recently....and they were HOOKED on Cajun music after that! One of my buddies, who is from Indiana, also wants to learn Cajun music now!

It was an incredible to see so many young people take an interest in learning Cajun music that weekend in Lafayette!

It's true. I have both a website and a FB page, and I get much more exposure through the FB.

Bryan,

Do you have a link to your Facebook page? I'd be a fan!

Bryan is a principled builder, excellent artist, and respected resource for Cajun music in Texas, locally -- A true cultural evangelist -- moreover, a new pioneer in Acadian preservation with roots as deep as any other melodian builder in these modern times.

Well, thank you Rick, I was waiting for a punch line. When I grow up, I hope to be like my role model, Jude Moreau.
