single row with accidentals

Anyone ever played one of these? I've only heard it via youtube videos. Seems to be good for Quebecois tunes, in particular.

Re: single row with accidentals

Calrify what you mean, please. Such as a D box with F natural and C natural, or a C box with F# or Bflat?

PS realize that this machine isn't Cajun or Just tuned, which makes a one row sound so nice for Cajun music and more ....

Re: single row with accidentals

Sounds good enough to me!
I have always wondered who scooywest was. Quite a genius.

Re: single row with accidentals

I've been pretty fascinated with that accordion for a long time. I traded emails with the owner of one of these a while back, he told me how it's laid out, and I've since forgotten, but I do know that there are a couple buttons that open the same valves as a couple other buttons

Re: single row with accidentals

It is interesting. I'm wondering how much the design is based on other melodeons with an accidental row.

For me, going from a piano-keyboard accordion to a single-row diatonic is enough of a challenge.
