Septembers Bravenet Song??

Hey Jamey,

You got one in mind for September? Man.. I love the song of the month.

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

I do, John; I had a special request. But first, I'm going to insist that we get some more tries at Blacktop in. So c'mon guys: give it a shot and let's see whatcha got!

Remember, this is NOT a contest; it's fun to try new songs and it's fun to stretch ourselves. We can't all be Chris Miller (as much as we might like to be), but that's okay. We're all different and we all learn from each other, and I guarantee you, everyone has something to contribute.

So cowboy up and contribute, already!

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

Okay Jamey. It's september and the site is back working.

Song of the month???

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

John: The logical choice would be "September Song." but it has too many chords for Cajun. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck to the blacktop tar baby.

Jamey the Tune Czar: Let's make the next one a simple Cajun two-step, please, preferably one I already know.

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

I second Nedro!! I need to learn my 4th 2-step.

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

Okay boys, I'm about to give in. I was really hoping to get a couple more Blacktops in . . . particularly from Bryan Lafleur, and maybe Jon Melancon. Let's give'em 'til Saturday. Then I got one in mind . . .

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

Aww man... now we done lost the whole first week of September. Some of us need all the time we can get. :)

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

If it makes you feel better, I recorded 2 versions, on different key accordions.

Hey Jamey, I tried messing with the video, iMovie crap but I'm too **** impatient and computer incompetent to pull it off without trying too hard. LOL! And then I saw the forum was down for a couple weeks, so I didn't know how long it'd be down for and quit trying.

Anyway, do you remember we spoke on the phone a couple weeks ago and I was asking to do Zydeco (Les haricot) Sont Pas Sale for September? I would really love to see that song as the tune of the month.

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

Okay, Jon - but you gotta promise to actually **participate** and post a version - we ain't gonna knock ourselves out learning that difficult song just so you can have some extra resources, LOL!

Deal? You gotta learn to work them video contraptions some time anyway . . .

Re: Septembers Bravenet Song??

Hey... come on Jamey... It's saturday. Lets have the song.
