Re: Mamou Cajun Band

Ron, they weren't brothers. Cousins, I think.

That's right Bryan

Re: Cyprien Landreneau

An anecdote about Cyprien Landreneau :
When Cyprien was born, her mother is going to declare it to the church. The priest spoke only English. The mother spoke only French.
The priest : “ How do you want to name your son ?”
The mother : "Cyprien, si y a moyen, père” (Cyprien, if it can be, father)
Since this day the Christian name of Cyprien is “Cypriensiyamoyen"

Re: Cyprien Landreneau

So who said the French don't have a sense of humour?

Re: Cyprien Landreneau

It's a true story told by Philippe Krümm after a journey in Louisiana in 1979. A lot of the beautiful pictures and anecdotes of the musicians of this time.
