Hey Folks :
Looking for a copy of the lyrics of "Les flammes d'enfer
" , the Beausoleil version. I have a copy of their song from a cajun compilation Cd. Short of buying their Cd Bayou Cadillac, I have not been able to find a copy of their lyrics. Their version is very different from many others that I have found, and I have 3 versions in-hand. They seem to have two, almost completely different verses, than any other that I have found. I have to hand it to Jimmy Breaux ...... it has become one of the most challenging songs that I have been learning so far.
con****é = con****é, je pense.
funny, doesnt work **** so do it this way: con dam né.
doesn't wurk in French LOL.
Jimmy is the man!! Cajun music runs deep in his veins and family background. He is currently teaching me some accordion licks for Flammes D'enfer. If you are atending Festivals Acadiens this weekend in Lafayette be sure to catch "Jimmy Breaux and Friends" on the Heritage Stage Sunday 11:15 am and again on the main stage with Beausoleil at 4:00 pm. Some of our finest will be performing at the festival this year. It will be a weekend of back to back great accordion music for me, that's for sure. For any interested, KRVS radio usually broadcasts the festival every year. You may be able to hear the festival live over the net. Try www.krvs.org hopefully they will air it this year.
Re: Re: Re: Les Flammes D'enfer- Beausoleil's version
Ma chère Maman m'as tou' l'temps dit
Prison d'amour, prison d'amour
