It is a dark brown violin, crudish scroll, nice two-piece back. Well made, it is very resonant, big!! sounding G string -- don't go there fellas... -L-

Very clean and original, never been apart. A 3500-dollar fiddle.

$3500 sounds like the one he showed me when I first went into his shop. I said I wanted something inexpensive, but he was trying to show me what I was missing by shopping at the low end.

As I remember, that one was very resonant and...well, smooth is not the right word...it was not strident.

Not sure if it's the same fiddle. That was 5 or more years ago when I went in there I think.
