Replacement bellows, they're very different. A little concerned...

I got my bellows replaced on one of my accordions recently and I noticed something different about them.

All of the gussets (or the white, leather bellows corners) are all sticking out and not tucked in. Almost like they've been yanked out.

What in the world is up with that?

The bellows seem to play much smoother at the moment, but I am concerned that over time, they're gonna get floppy as hell.

Anyone have any input?

Re: Replacement bellows, they're very different. A little concerned...

Ask your source seller where the bellows are from.. Europe or Far East.

Italian bellows are all made by Galassi..and most Cajun boxes have Galassi bellows.

Yours may be Chinese??.. take a sniff..if you get that carbon industrial waste smell ..that's Chinese. No kidding. Nothing racist. Chinese boxes have a certain burnt toilet paper smell to them. Got kooties IMHO.

If just a question of outturned corners but play well..doesn't matter where they are from : )

Most of the bellows I ahve seen non "Cajun" accordeons are from Gallosi

Castagnari uses Marconi

Where did you buy the bellows and when
