Re: Re: zydeco wachin you

So Rick, what kind of music do you play? Cajun, zydeco, original? When I figure out how to do it, I'll post some excerpts of a DVD we made on our website for your amusement and/or sympathy.

Thanks, Jamey

Thanks for the nice welcome. I started playing guitar in blues/ rock bands when I was just a teen (1970) and just kinda kept playing...I was doing the sound for a local resort/ bar (the owner was having all kinds of famuos players there..Mose Allison, JJ Cale, Eddie Clearwater, Gatemouth Brown, Rory Block, Matt Guitar Murphy, other...Well one Day he had Queen Ida (about 1988) WOW! ...well anyway I started with a 2 row honer Erica and about 98' my buddy who owned a bar wanted to do a Fat Tuesday event and we put together a Zydeco band. Never realy got beyond the bar-garage band leval but I had to make a couple of trips to La. to get the grove...YEA...Geno..Nathan..Chubby...Leroy,Lil Brian..Brian Jack, Chris A, Beau J, Boozoo, Curly, And ROsie! Each time I visited Larry Miller in Iota and bought an accordion.........first a c/g and then later a beatiful B flat ...it's black with red bellow and shiney gold flappers...silver buttons.......anyway ..I just keep planing when I can.....Rico
