Cedric and Wison Viens me Chercher

Wilson and Cedric playing Viens me Chercher in France.

Re: Cedric and Wison Viens me Chercher

O, thought they were searching you.....

But serious, it has something familiar with the 'convict waltz' I heard from Captain Gumbo's record.
Am I right, or wrong????

Similar, but not quite the same. Convict Waltz is Valse de 99 ans, and is definitely not the same, but similar.

Re: Re: Re: Cedric and Wison Viens me Chercher

Thanks, Maz. This is the most confusing of cajun music for me. They all look simular, have simular or the same bridges (ponts, B-parts). (Apart from the names, but that doesn't really bother me).
Like there´s so many tunes that have a `Duson one step`
inside.

To add to confusion, sometimes same songs have different names. Anyway, to alleviate some of the confusion between these two songs, here are two clips that I recorded last year and posted on YouTube. Valse de 99 ans (Convict) is link #1, and Tante Aline (Viens me chercher) is link #2. Enjoy!

Yes they are more different than I expected. (what accordion brand? Bon Cajun? I also asked you a year ago, I think)
