Converting a $20 toy accordion into a real child accordion

Here at link #2 something worthy. Apparently, a guy at Dancemaster accordion took a $20 toy accordion, replaced the crappy reed with some hohner reeds.. here's the product you YouTube. Not bad. I wonder how much these replacement hohner reeds would cost? Good idea for my god-daughter...

Ouppsss. forgot the link #2. Here it is.

Re: Re: Converting a $20 toy accordion into a real child accordion

That little guy sound very nice. If I didn't already have a Lachenal concertina, I'd be calling Dancemaster to order one...maybe I should anyway. The Lachenal is worth more than my La box, not something you just throw in a bag. Wouldn't worry about the little toy accordion Fun, fun, fun.

Re: Re: Re: Converting a $20 toy accordion into a real child accordion

Michael who's company is "Irish Dancemaster" overhauled my First Act for $75 plus shipping. He will do Cajun tuning if you want.

The sound of the single reed is sweet, and the treble action fast.

The bellows still make their plastic crackling noise. And if you engage the bass chords, you run out of air real quick.

But I like having it around in case I remember a turn, I just pick it up off the dresser and toot a few notes.
