OK, for the sake of discussion,
Let's say you are an upper-level Beginner,
working on improving your act,
and you want to have at least 10 numbers
in your personal repertoire of songs
that you can play without undo screw-ups.
You want to stay with Waltz, 2-step; Waltz, 2-step, and you want to be able to sing the words.
You also want to make your uninitiated listeners
enjoy what is happening, and not leave the room.
Which one's would you guys pick?
JB
Lawrence Walker Medley
Le Valse De Quatre-Vingt Dix Neuf Ans (99 Yr/Convict)
Amedie Two Step
Le Valse de Bayou Teche
Porte En Arriere (Back Door)
Le Valse du Pont A'mour (Love Bridge)
Hicks Wagon Wheel Special
Le Valse de Cherokee
Ardoin Medley
Le Valse de Grand Chemin (Big Road)
Thanks, Brett,
You actually answered the basics of my question.
Your list is Do-able for a beginner,
and could actually become the nucleus of a gig
that would keep your audience entertained,
which is the type of list I was looking for.
WF, your poll was great, and I remember it,
but many of those pieces are well beyond
the performance range of a beginner.
Great list to aspire to, though...
Thanks, guys!
JB
