Hohner 114 in G up on Ebay

In case anyone is interested a nice 114 up on Ebay. See link #1. It is the older style in almost new condition with the original box.

Ready to be cajun tuned and re-decorated. Take that funky screen off and paint the flappers etc.

Capt. E.

it doesn't mention key on listing

Did the guy tell you if it was in G?

Jim

Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

No, but if you look at the photos the box clearly is marked G.

Is it yours, Capt'n?

Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

No, no, not mine. If I had that, I probably wouldn't be selling it. It looks in fine condition and 114's in G are not that common. I'll have to restrain myself and avoid bidding.

Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

It wasn't so obvious that it's in G. I looked through the pictures and finally found the stamp on the bass strap, but never would have thought to look there to begin with. Every Hohner I've ever had came with a stamp on the inside with the key.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

Wow, good eye, I missed the stamp on the strap. The listing says with original box, and there's a label 'G' on one of the box's pics. I assume it would be a low G. It would either growl or sing up in the statosphere!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

I wonder how much it's gonna go for?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

I really like mine, the sucker growls like a bull dog.

I am waiting on an Acadian in G with the low octave bass side. That's going to growl and sing much better!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

I thought the 114's with the gold end plates as opposed
to silver, were Chinese, regardless what it says on the cardboard box.
This is certainly a late model anyway.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: it doesn't mention key on listing

No, they're not Chinese, just a bit newer- from the '80's maybe.

Yeah, my G Hohner that I own has gold colored face plates too. It is from the 80's as well
