La Robe Barree - lyrics anyone?

Can anyone write down the lyrics to La Robe Barree? I've got it on 3 CD's and no lyrics on any.

Ann Savoy handed out a transcription at one of her afternoon singing classes at 2007 Balfa Camp, but I lost that.

Merci to all.

Re: La Robe Barree - lyrics anyone?

’J’vas mettre ma robe barrée, mettre ma robe barrée,
’Garde mon nègre qui vient.
Il m’a promis, va m’soigner,
Va m’faire du bien.
Il va m’ramener, il va m’ramener
Sur la grande prairie.
J’vas mettre ma robe barrée, j’vas mettre ma robe barrée,
Pour aller-z-au bal.

Balancez, balancez, ouais mais dans mes bras
Fais do-do, fais do-do, mais dans mes bras.
Il va m’ramener, il va m’ramener
Sur la grande prairie.
J’vas mettre ma robe barrée,
’Garde mon nègre, ouais qui vient.

Marc.

Marc - merci!

I look forward to stretching my vocal chords on this one!
