Why would you love to have me on the ice? Do you and your Jr.B buddies need a lesson in hockey skills now that you have all been CUT. You seem to be bitter. Maybe a try out for the new Canadian Idol show is where you should look next. Talk is tough, but one must perform when it counts! Let us all know where are you "still playing" so we can see your skills?
What is humourous is the two of you are arguing about a situation that number one would never happen and number two have no idea what the result would be.
Plus, who cares???? Neither of you have any idea of who each other are.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: All these cut players!
Yes I could agree to disagree. But, when someone comes on this board with a rediculous idea and then claims he plays in the league that is what is humourous! There are so many super stars with big mouths, who in reality probably never have played higher than house league who know it all on this forum. I NEVER played on a travel team nor any Jr. or pro hockey, but i certianly know that when a guy gets cuts, it is because he is not good enough! A team of "rejects" would be a bad team. There is no argument. Why not have all of the players who got cut from their NHL teams play The New Jersey Devils for the Stanley Cup -- how silly would that be? Same thing in this league!
I can't believe that you are going to judge Tom E. on his goalie skills after seeing him in net for one game. Everyone has their off nights. Bet you didn't know that Tom was in net when Cambridge beat Brantford (the only time they have) in an exhibition game. Know your facts before you judge.
Although I do not confess to being a huge Cambridge fan this year... I have kept my on the team. I will agree with Doucet in regards to the goalie situation of the Hornets.
I do not understand the philosophy of not playing your third goalie in many of the games that were played. It seems that there are way too many shots against Cambridge and with Tom E. playing only 2 games (both wins) and yes one was not "spectacular" I think the guy should of got played at least one more game before cutting him from the team. He seemed to be a dedicated player. Cambridge needs a strong goalie and help around the net. Hopefully if they do sign another goalie they will attempt to use them, rather than letting the one in net destroy his GPA and Hornet Stats. Not everyone can be stellar all the time and that includes Torchia. (Sorry bud). Good luck Hornets!
I don't think the goaltending is the area that needs to be assessed. Their tending is right up there at the top of the league in my opinion. One more strong defenceman is the first thing I would address. Team defence is a big part of the GAA and with what they have now, I think it will only improve.
Tom is not going to help us get over it. Lets try to keep our eye on the ball here. I think your suggestions are pretty funny we all get a laugh out of them.
I have seen nothing but good things out of torqia this year, he maybe throws it up the middle a little too much, but he has played very well. I am as confident as the players the tending is fine.
