Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

Rollin Pin, version by Beausoleil.
Maybe these lyrics are on the CD ou LP "Bayou Cadillac".

Here's that I hear, but Michael Doucet "eats words" :

Oh bébé, j’étais soulé hier au soir
Et quand j’ai rentré, papa m’était faché
Il m’a menacé, commencé à cogner
Quand il m’a cogné avec sa rolling pin

Oh bébé pourquoi tu fais comme ça (?)
Tu connais, comment j’ai esquivé(?)
Tu parles plus (?), bébé t’es pas comme ça
Elle m’a cogné avec sa rolling pin

Marc.

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

Thanks Marc. That's a huge help. Mark

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

If she looks like this i pity Michael Doucet:

PS, the French word for rolling pin is so much nicer, and you can buy a soft rubber version here, in case you worry about your father in law chasing you: http://www.amazon.fr/ROULEAU-PATISSERIE-SILICONE-NOIR-CUISINE/dp/B004Q5DNUO/ref=sr_1_20?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1304282530&sr=1-20

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

D.L. Menard was more clever than Michael Doucet, he passed through the back door !!

Marc.

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

Marc, don't start now about back doors, and bring in cowboys, even if they're pure bred Cajun; there's a certain sense & alternative meaning to that expression not suited to post here, and especially not for kids. One is here, but that seems OK:

But for the other i won't go into details now, especially regarding my sincere admiration and respect for D.L. Menard. - Nout

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

Tu peux cogner mais tu peux pas rentrer.

Marc.

Re: Lyrics for Rolling Pin

These guys did not obey though, it must be a cowboy song they never heard .... :
