Re: OT: Atchafalaya Flood

And to think we usually have quite a bit of rain in the Netherlands, and now have as much as 5% of what's usual in this time of year with plants and animals suffering from the drought. Maybe we could make a deal if we send these fellers over; donate us a bucket or two?

You'll make these colleagues of Bryan happy too:

Q: Is this a Model T? it ain't black ...

PS: There are as usual them idiots around setting forestry and dune areas on fire, with all the danger for especially firefighters; the military just caught 3 of 'em red handed with the help of infra-red binoculars ... hurray!

Re: OT: Atchafalaya Flood

We here in Acadiana are also way below normal in rain fall. All this flooding is not water from here but from rain up North. We are just catching the snow melt and water from other states. Seems like a no win situation.

Re: OT: Atchafalaya Flood

Yeah, that's the irony. We've been having a small drought down here. So we get the negative effects of flooding without the positive benefits of the rain.
