Anyone familiar with this song. I think it might be misspelled. Maybe supposed to be "La Derniere Minuit".
Slow, evocative waltz, but not a lot of beat emphasis by the bow. Kinda like it. It's on the "Cajun Collection [Disky] Cd 4". I think Marc has this one.
Harry and the Cajuns is Harry LaFleur. I've 3 recording of this song :
- Cajun Collection (Disky DCD 148)
- Harry and the Cajuns (La Louisianne LL-146)
- Tout Le Tour du Grand Bois (Autoproduction)
I think that true title is "The last minute" ou "La dernière minute".
Sorry, I don't remember the music (maybe an instrumental), and I'm not at home this week.
Could be, but on our album "Harry and The Cajuns", it's titled "la deniere minuit". No vocals, so can't figure it out there. Pretty song. Harry is an great fiddler, with his own style. My 3rd cousin.
It's a pretty song, and Harry is a great player! The song sounds more cowboy-western to me than Cajun, which is ok with me because nobody does that stuff better than some of our Cajun and Creole fiddlers!
Harry's Reel is really good too! Sorry, can't post it because it's on Swallow label.
