anyone know the origination of the song? would anyone be kind enough to transcribe the words for me?

That is one of my favorites. Acadien Cajun Band does a great version. Which version do you want transcribed?

The Acadien version is very close to the Balfa version. Here are some lyrics to the Acadien version. Brandon Moreau has a great voice but is hard to understand sometimes Maybe Marc or Bryan can help more.

My favorite version is the one by Wade Fruge - I think the title is La Vals A Wade Fruge - Old Cowboy Waltz.

The version by Robert Jardell has always been my favorite. I think that I wore out the CD that it was on.
