Down Stops

I happened to notice in some YouTube videos of Pee Wee Broussard posted by Bryan, that all his stops are down. Coincidentally, Bryan's L'anse Grise #10 has this feature.

Story goes that Pee Wee was bad to pick a fight. If he couldn't get it going from the audience, he'd just jump on a band member.

Wisely, a fellow so inclined would have his accordion built with reversed stops to prevent damage during fight-induced intermissions.

This design element should be an important consideration for players who are clumsy, or prone to scuffle at dances.
