Re: Le Blues de Balfa

One of my favorites. I own the Blues de Balfa/Cajun Visits dvd, and pretty much any cajun documentary ever made. This one though, is one of my favorites. Dana, check out the documentary at 10:00 minutes. They play a song called Rodney's Waltz. Ray Abshire does a recording of this with Courtney Granger on Ray's album For Old Time's Sake. Closest you will get to what you hear in the documentary. Great song, that isn't that well known.

Re: Le Blues de Balfa

this is the video which made me fall in love with Cajun music. They were playing it on opening nite at Ashokan Field Campus southern week.....years ago. i saw and immediately fell in love with Dewey.
