Re: OT: French fur trapper hat

I think Jamey is talking about this:

Hopefully that will show up.

You got it, John D.! Here's another image I found: http://www.nobleknits.com/mac-me-cowled-stocking-kids-cap-pattern-035/

Is this the same as you meant, Christian?

Re: OT: French fur trapper hat

In Canada they call it "une tuque" in French (never heard the English word).

Re: OT: French fur trapper hat

Penis et vagin? Really, JB? Did you catch that part of the explanation?

Re: OT: French fur trapper hat

Isn't that much clearer than, say, Ikea furniture's assembly instructions?

Bonne Année !

Re: OT: French fur trapper hat

It is a tuque (une tuque). It is a typical French Canadian hat. My mother knitted a long one for me and my brothers when I was a kid. There a different sizes in lenght. I don't know if there's a specific name for the longer type like on the pics you showed.
