Re: Tuning a cajun accordion

Jr. Martin will tune any brand and any type of accordion and it will be tuned right.

Re: Tuning a cajun accordion

I just built my first one and I opted to take it to a technician for the tuning. I am having him show me his technique. He is not strictly a cajun accordion tech but it is turning out wonderfully. I would imagine anyone possessing the skills to tune reeds could tune your accordion for you. Just remember to explain how the cajun box is tuned. I don't know anyone in the VA area but I would suggest doing a craigslist search or maybe even make a post and I am sure something will turn up.

Re: Tuning a cajun accordion

The Acadian should be tuned by Marc, if it is dry tuned. He has a special way of tuning the mid bank to help produce the sound of his accordions.

A dry tuned Martin, I believe is tuned bone dry, so any trustworthy tuner can tune it.
