If he ended with 3 strings he added one. Our last song at the bar he played with 2 strings. I took a pic for proof on my phone. And he still sounded pretty good. I asked him how the heck he could make that much music with 2 strings, his answer was classic. "One string is nothing but a note, but 2 strings is harmony".
