Re: lyric request madame faielle

Whew, that was a tough one. maybe someone can help with my mistakes. I only have the Cedric Watson version.

Oh Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Si c'est pas Cilene, mais j'envie pas de tout
Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene

elle est la plus jolie, elle est une tit canaille
Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Mais si t'es ma donne pas, ca ma creve de couer

Oh Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Madame Faille donnez moi Cilene
Si c'est pas Cilene, mais j'envie pasde tout
Oh Madame Faille donnez moi c'est la.

Re: lyric request madame faielle

Mrs Faille give me Cilene
Mrs Faille give me Cilene
If not Celine, well I crave for nothing at all
Mrs Faille give me Cilene

She is the prettiest, she is a little wild
Mrs Faille give me Cilene
Mrs Faille give me Cilene
But if you don't give her my heart will starve

Mrs Faille give me Cilene
Mrs Faille give me Cilene
Is its not Cilene, Well then i crave nothing at all
Mrs Faille give me that there (loose translation)

Re: lyric request madame faielle

Carriere Brothers says "Céline" and Cédric Watson say "Cilène".

Re: lyric request madame faielle

Hi Roger
great song! just a quick question. Are you learning Cedric's version (I haven't heard les Carriere Bros)? It's in C but does he play it in standard tuning or cajun tuning (i mean lower)? I'm trying to have it a go myself.
thanks
Miquel

Re: lyric request madame faielle

hi miguel
i am learning cedric's version and also referencing the Carriere Bros as I make it my own. Playing it in C on the tuned down fiddle. email me if you want to talk about the tune.......also if you wanted the Carriere version.....

Re: lyric request madame faielle

hi Roger
thanks for the help. At the moment not having many problems with the tune but I let you know if i need some help. I'm a bit of a beginner with the fiddle but to have other instruments ( accordion, guitar...) helps to go faster. I'm playing it in D 'cause I prefer the higher pitch in general for the singing.
Also i was able to track Carriere Brothers version.

good luck and thanks
Miquel
