Re: Hohner Origin Confusion

With all the "help" that the Chinese are getting from Germany(according with the website), they should get on their f*cking as*es about spring breakage. I will say, however, my Chinese D 114 is a tight little morsel. Just afraid to take it anywhere, by itself. Always bring a back up. Humidity means the springs will inevitably break.

My friend Dylan's old Hohner has held up like a champ, but the sound isn't near as good as the new ones. That's a stretch though, it could all be random.

Re: Hohner Origin Confusion

I got my 114 in 1978 or so and just only ONCE in all these 34 years I broke a spring. But it's true: the volume is not great.

Great photo essay on Hohner. Donka shane for posting.

Horst Fausel is not playing that triple-row without straps though. He's posing.
